Thanks to their newest model, the MG4 hatchback, MG is establishing a distinctive position as a top-value electric vehicle manufacturer in the UK. This tiny car is ideal for moving small freight trailers to the nearby dump or performing similar jobs because it has a towing capability of 500kg, the same as the MG ZS Long Range. Despite having a modest towing capacity, the MG4 is one of the most cost-effective electric vehicles on the market right now, especially if you don't need to transport large goods.
Is the MG4 a good tow car?
I was delighted to learn about the MG4 hatchback because I'm often searching for a good offer. It's uncommon to see a car this size with an official tow rating, and its 500 kg capacity is hardly the highest available. But hey, it's something, isn't it? Given that the maximum weight for an unbraked trailer is 750 kg, I did find it odd that the maximum towing weight is only 500 kg. This is identical to the MG ZS, a small SUV, which is noteworthy but also amazing for a little hatchback like the MG4.Additionally, the MG4 is about £4K less expensive than an equivalent MG ZS with a comparable range. And that's not all—when it comes to power output and quick charging rates, the MG4 actually outperforms the MG ZS. Furthermore, the MG4 is more effective than the MG ZS despite being a little heavier because of its lower ride height. Overall, I believe that the MG4 is a fantastic choice for anyone searching for an affordable electric car that can occasionally pull a load. Furthermore, a hatchback is a cute little runabout that everyone loves.
The MG MG4 could be a decent alternative to take into consideration if you're seeking for an electric vehicle that can pull a small cargo trailer or camping trailer. Despite not being the most efficient vehicle in its class, it is now quite affordable when compared to its competitors. I myself would select the MG4 above its sister, the MG ZS, if I had to make a decision. The MG4 appeals to me more even though the ZS has slightly higher ground clearance but no all-wheel drive, unlike the ZS.
