Whilst the Jaguar I-Pace has slightly less power than the Audi E-Tron it does produce more torque. The start of the all new Electric Jag is somewhat immediate and in some cases feels a little violent. The acceleration of the i-Pace is impressive too, taking just 4.8s to 100 km/h. At 200 km/h, the electronics regulate the propulsion of the 2.2-ton vehicle. The detachable trailer hitch comes at at cost and you can expect to pay almost 2000 euros, but is currently only approved for a support load of 45 kilograms and a trailer load of 750 kilograms which is only enough for a small caravan or trailer.

Is The Jaguar i-Pace A Good Tow Car?

The standard 20-inch wheels roll off with a slight bump. This gets better as soon as the 22-inch wheels are installed. The optional air suspension provides comfort, but has to contend with short bumps that are transmitted to the steering. Which, in turn, pleases with its direct interpretation, but gives little feedback. Winding roads are fun because of the low centre of gravity and perfectly balanced weight distribution. Off the asphalt, the air suspension is five centimeters high. Thanks to a wading depth of 50 centimetres, even small streams are no problem. Four cameras, which can be controlled individually or combined for a 360-degree view, provide an overview. Despite the road tires, the I-Pace easily digs uphill on sandy, steep passages. The Jaguar is more than two meters wide even without exterior mirrors. The trunk holds 656 to 1453 litres, the front compartment another 27.
