Cupra positions itself as a sporty, premium brand, and even the base model, weighing 1463kg, lives up to that reputation. Its responsive suspension keeps the body well-controlled during corners, offering a firm yet comfortable ride. This translates to impressive dynamics and handling, making it a truly agile and quick car. In fact, it can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
The steering feels light and responsive, while the MacPherson strut front end provides ample grip and stability. The flagship Formentor offers five drive modes: Comfort, Sport, Cupra, Individual, and Off-Road, easily selectable with the circular button on the sporty steering wheel.
Inside the cabin, the Formentor offers a unique and well-crafted environment across its range. Every model features a crisp 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with multiple selectable layouts. The center of the dashboard houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen, controlling most onboard functions. Standard features include navigation with connected services, wireless Apple CarPlay, digital radio, wireless charging, multiple USB-C charging sockets, keyless entry, 18-inch black and silver alloys, cruise control, lane assist, and automated emergency braking. Voice control is also available, requiring a Spanish wake-up command like "Hola, Hola" followed by requests such as adjusting the temperature.
The interior showcases high-quality materials and design. The front seats provide excellent support with deep bolsters for cornering. Despite the sloping roofline, there's ample space for taller passengers in the back. Ambient LED lighting adds a touch of customization to the interior atmosphere. Premium design touches, like bronze accents on the dash and leather seats with bronze stitching, emphasize the Cupra design theme. The leather steering wheel, also featuring bronze stitching, feels luxurious to the touch.
Front-wheel drive (FWD) versions offer 450 liters of boot space, while the 4WD versions have 430 liters. Hybrid models provide slightly less at 345 liters. If you need additional cargo capacity, the Formentor is equipped with an Invisible towbar capable of towing up to 2500kg. Our towbar is rated the same.
